"The Kaizen Retail" - Closure to Reality - Planning Permission Granted
Beyond Property Group is pleased to announce that planning permission has been formally granted by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council for a new commercial development - “Kaizen-Retail” on land adjacent to our Landmark Residential Development - “The Kaizen” on Birmingham Road, West Bromwich.
The approved scheme will deliver four new single-storey commercial units together with new access arrangements, customer parking, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, landscaping and associated works. The site, formerly used as an overspill car park, represents a prominent brownfield opportunity at a key gateway location into West Bromwich
A Key Regeneration Milestone
The planning approval marks an important milestone in Beyond Property Group’s ongoing regeneration strategy for the area. The development will bring forward high-quality, modern commercial space designed to support local businesses, encourage investment, and create employment opportunities.
The scheme has been carefully designed to complement the neighbouring Kaizen residential development and to enhance the wider streetscape along Birmingham Road. Active frontages, clear access arrangements and a contemporary architectural approach will help to improve the visual quality and functionality of the site.
Well-Connected, Sustainable Location
The site benefits from excellent transport connectivity, positioned close to the M5 West Bromwich Interchange and within walking distance of bus, tram and rail services. The approved layout includes generous parking provision, dedicated EV charging spaces and cycle parking to support sustainable travel choices.
Looking Ahead
With planning permission now secured, Beyond Property Group will move forward with the next stages of the project, including detailed design, procurement and construction planning.
This development reinforces our commitment to delivering well-designed, sustainable commercial schemes that contribute positively to local communities and support long-term economic growth.
Further updates will be shared as the project progresses.
